A counter-intuitive breakdancer's approach to mastery

Read this if you want to get good at anything

The other day I was at breakdance practice and one of my buddies there is an absolute beast.

He was giving me tips on a move called Barrel Mill (which is windmill with no hands).

I hadn’t done them in 3 years.

He gave me tips on how to position my hands, arms, and head.

Once I got the form down, he said “alright dude, now you gotta rep out 30 barrel mills by the end of practice today.”

Damn.

I could do 2-3 barrel mills in each go.

But since he gave me the right tweaks, I was able to do each barrel mill with better form.

Which allowed me to do 4-5 in a row.

And they hurt less and less each time to do them.

And they looked cooler and cooler each time, too.

Now here’s the thing.

Most people try to get better at something like making content to get more clients by posting more.

“Just get the reps in”

“Just post more”

And I agree to an extent.

But if your ‘form’ is off…

Your content is kinda ass.

If your messaging is off.

And you don’t have anything unique or interesting to say…

It’s gonna work AGAINST you more than FOR you.

It doesn’t matter how many reps you do.

It’s gonna repel people and re-affirm why they haven’t bought from you yet.

Which is why I’m working on something special behind the scenes to solve that for good.

Then, once you’re set in the right direction with the right way to position yourself, dial in your message, and craft compelling content with the systems and frameworks I’ll literally hand to you…

Let ‘er rip and write as much content as you want.

That’s where consistent lead-flow comes from.

Stay tuned.

P.S. I got the first few attempts of barrel mill on camera and posted the video on my Instagram.
