The BEST way to attract clients

Did you know there is a BEST way to attract clients?

Now, this way won’t work for everyone.

But it will work well for YOU.

Here’s how the story:

I used to be very big on “this is THE way and there’s no other way.”

Then I’d see someone else making a ton more money than me, living in far more alignment than me.

It would cause me to pause, reflect.

And go:

“Oh shit, maybe there’s another way of doing this.”

There was a very prominent 8-figure client of mine in the online coaching space who didn’t believe in recurring subscriptions.

His entire goal was to collect as much cash up front in as short a period as possible.

Now?

His entire model is around recurring and subscriptions with a heavy emphasis on client retention and satisfaction.

Every paradigm works.

Every way to attract clients work.

It’s just about figuring out what paradigm or way to attract clients works for YOU.

Some people thrive with the launch model where they release a new program or product every month or so.

Others thrive with ads where they just show up to sales calls every day and close clients.

Others (like myself) much prefer seducing their audience into reaching out and asking to work with them with content and strategic messaging.

There’s no wrong way of doing things.

Nor is there any right way.

You can tweak your strategy based on market conditions.

But I’d argue that’s less important than tweaking your strategy based on what works for YOU.

Otherwise you’re going to be building a business you hate.

This is where intuition and good judgment comes in (and if necessary, a second opinion).

Side note:

Just because you tried a strategy and it didn’t work doesn’t mean it’s not for you.

It may mean you did it wrong.

For example:

A lot of people will message me about their organic marketing not consistently attracting qualified leads even though they post frequently.

Then I take a look at their messaging.

And in 2 minutes can tell them the exact problem and walk them through how to fix it together.

That being said...

Assuming you’re doing it right but feel heavy “resistance” - it might not be the thing for you.

And one of the most freeing things I’ve done for myself is given myself permission to not do shit I don’t want to do (within reason).

You’re not gonna love everything about what you do everyday.

But if you fuckin hate sending cold DMs and feel massive resistance to it, what if it’s worth considering the fact that maybe it’s not the right thing for you?

I’ve never made cold DMs work.

EVER.

All my clients come to me through my content, referrals, or through making friends who happen to need what I sell.

That’s it.

So I double down on those strengths.

I get to make more friends.

Spend more time writing this newsletter (which is super fun).

And as a result of doing more things aligned (God I hate that word now since it’s so overplayed, but it makes sense here)...

I enjoy my work far more and can make the same or more working far less.

Plus the strategy is far more effective.

So here’s my challenge for you when it comes to your marketing strategy.

Look for what gives you energy in your marketing activities.

Is it brainstorming ideas?

Coming up with cool teaching frameworks?

Is it filming videos?

Great.

Now focus on how to double down on those things.

And remove other parts of your strategy that aren’t those things.

That’s how you figure out the BEST way to attract clients.
